Accredited automotive penetration testing and fuzz testing
Cymobility operates an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory for automotive penetration testing, fuzz testing and vulnerability scanning. The accreditation is granted by IQAS, a signatory to the ILAC and APAC Mutual Recognition Arrangements, so reports issued by the laboratory are recognised by accreditation bodies in Europe, North America, Japan, Korea and China as well as India. We test ECUs, telematics and infotainment units, in-vehicle networks and the external interfaces of complete vehicles for exploitable vulnerabilities, and report each finding with the affected interface, the steps to reproduce it and the remediation to be verified.
Accredited scope
The accredited scope covers penetration testing against UN Regulation No. 155 Annex 5 threat categories, communication protocol fuzz testing and component vulnerability scanning, referenced to ISO/SAE 21434:2021. Test reports issued under the accredited scope carry the IQAS symbol and certificate number.
Why it matters
ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard against which testing laboratories demonstrate technical competence, impartiality and consistent operation. Accredited test reports give OEMs, suppliers and approval authorities independent assurance that testing was performed by qualified personnel, using validated methods, under a managed quality system. For UN R155 and AIS-189 submissions, and for ISO/SAE 21434 clause 11.4 evidence, accredited results reduce the effort of justifying test adequacy to assessors.
